Miller to Lead Rockynol
Akron, Ohio – Richard P. Miller has been named Executive Director of Rockynol, 1150 West Market St.
In his new role, Miller will oversee all operations of the Akron not-for-profit organization. Rockynol is owned and operated by OPRS Communities, a subsidiary of Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS). He will begin his new duties on Oct. 24.
“Rich is well-suited to take on this leadership role – he is a mission-driven leader with vast customer service experience as well as having a strong financial and operational background,” said OPRS Communities President Daniel J. O’Connor.
As a faith-based community, Rockynol offers 78 independent living apartments with a unique range of sizes, designs, features, services and amenities; Assisted Living services in 67 apartments tailored to keep individuals independent while meeting their needs, i.e., managing medications, personal care, meals and housekeeping; and Rehabilition and Skilled Nursing Care in Rockynol's Health Care Center designed for therapy and strength building for people who require additional nursing care or short term rehabilitation after hospitalization.
Miller most recently served as the Executive Director of RoseCrest Retirement Community, Lutheran Homes of South Carolina. Prior to this post, he was the Administrator of Skilled Nursing for the Chester Regional Medical Center, Chester, SC. He also served as the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator/ Director of Health Care Operations for Mount Miguel Covenant Village (Covenant Retirement), San Diego, CA. Rich holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, CA.
